Rapunzel is a witty, tongue-in-cheek, one hour musical retelling of a perennial favorite that gives us a possessive mother who happens to be a witch, a tentative young man who happens to be a prince, and a strong-willed but naïve young girl with the longest hair you’re ever likely to come across. Designed with an appeal to young and adult audiences alike, the play has a contemporary moral about parent-child relationships, the challenges of growing up (for both children and adults), the joys of love, and challenges of being different. In addition to this unique theatrical experience, Phamaly performers are available for talk-backs and discussions following performances to talk about the production, the characters, their disabilities, and more!

Colorado Conservatory of Dance: The Nutcracker

This perennial holiday favorite promises to delight the whole family. The performances boast gorgeous sets and costumes, stunning choreography, and professional guest artists from around the world, and it's the only production in Denver that invites all children from the audience onstage after the show to learn choreography from the holiday classic. Audience members also have the opportunity to meet the Nutcracker Prince, Clara, and many other characters from the ballet for autographs and photos to complete the magical experience. This year, CCD will welcome international guest stars Adiarys Almeida and Joseph Gatti (both former Principal Dancers with Corella Ballet and Cincinnatti Ballet, and First Soloists with Boston Ballet) to dance the leading roles of Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. Additionally, Meredith Strathmeyer, Brandon Freeman, and Danny Ryan of Wonderbound will have guest roles in the production.
